Attention Parents & Guardians! In an effort to address chronic absenteeism, Mississippi has passed a new attendance law. We've listed the key changes below and you can read the entire bill here...https://bit.ly/4fvaQLn.

- Only 5 excused absences per semester
- Doctor's note required after 3rd absence
- Parent is notified after 3rd absence
- 66% attendance required for a full day
- No activity participation if absent for more than 33% of the day
